FAQ

Ask us anything.

The questions we hear most often. If yours isn't here, just call.

Do I need to own land before contacting you?+

We're happy to talk with you whether you already own property, have land under contract, or are just beginning your search. Getting a builder involved early can help you understand site conditions, utilities, access, and other factors that may affect the cost and feasibility of building.

Do I need plans before contacting you?+

Not at all. Some clients come to us with completed plans, while others start with a piece of land and an idea. We can meet you wherever you are in the process and help coordinate the design, budgeting, engineering, and planning needed to get the project ready for construction.

Can you help determine whether a property is buildable?+

Yes. We can walk the property with you and help identify the major considerations that could affect your build, including access, utilities, topography, drainage, septic, well requirements, and home placement. When additional information is needed, we can help coordinate with the appropriate engineers, surveyors, and other professionals.

How does pricing work?+

We believe good pricing starts with a clearly defined project. As the plans, specifications, and selections come together, we develop the budget alongside them so you can understand what you're building and what it is expected to cost. Before construction begins, we'll walk through the scope, allowances, pricing, and contract with you so there are as few unknowns as possible.

How long does the design and construction process take?+

Every custom home is different. The timeline depends on the design, size and complexity of the home, property conditions, engineering, permitting, selections, and availability of materials and trades. Once we understand your project, we'll develop a realistic schedule and keep you updated as it progresses.

What areas do you build in?+

We build throughout Central Texas and the eastern Texas Hill Country, with a focus on Georgetown, Liberty Hill, Bertram, Burnet, Marble Falls, Spicewood, and the surrounding communities. Our service area depends on the project and property, so if you're planning to build nearby, reach out and tell us where your land is located.

What types of homes do you build?+

We focus on custom homes and barndominiums designed around the property and the people who will live there. We also build supporting structures such as detached garages, shops, guest houses, and other improvements as part of larger residential and ranch properties.
